Why an open spec

The Evidence Pack format is most useful when regulators, carriers, and downstream systems can read it. We publish the schema under a permissive licence and contribute it to IAB Tech Lab and C2PA.

What's in the spec

Five node types (Source, Transform, Approve, Activate, Evidence), four edge types (each carrying a cryptographic signature), one Merkle-root chain, and a machine-readable disclosure block.

Reference implementation

A Python validator and a conformance test suite ship with v0.1 at design-partner signature. A Go implementation is on the roadmap for Q3 2026.
